Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reiki?

Reiki ("ray-key") means "Universal Life Energy".

It is a Japanese hands-on-healing technique that reduces stress, encourages relaxation, and stimulates the body's natural healing process.

A Reiki treatment is gentle and non-invasive.  It is given through a light touch on a massage table while the recipient is fully clothed.

Reiki has many benefits including: stress reduction, a natural means of self-care, developing and deepening one's own mind-body-spirit connection and connection to the divine, assisting the body's natural healing process during treatment or in recovery, and promoting overall health and vitality.

Reiki is a wonderful compliment to traditional medicine but should not be used
in place of your doctor's advice.

Is Reiki a religion?

No, Reiki is not a religion and you can practice and receive Reiki no matter what religious or spiritual beliefs you hold. Many students have found that it deepens and strengthens the beliefs you already have.

Why are our Reiki Classes longer than others?

We strongly believe in having enough time with our students to teach the material thoroughly, answer any questions that students may have, and most importantly spend time practicing and receiving feedback on the techniques taught.

This provides students with the needed experience to fully embrace the practice of Reiki for themselves and give them the tools to feel comfortable working with others.

I took a Reiki Class many years ago, but would like to experience it again. Is their a discounted rate?

Yes. You are not alone and we receive many such requests. If you have a certification in one of the classes you'd like to experience again, the fee is generally one half the tuition for new students. Please contact us directly to register.
